The challenge

KEBL aims to solve the following issues (based on a report by the Dutch government): - 50% of all students cycle without proper lights in the dark; - 34.000 fines are given yearly to people without proper bicycle lights and; - cyclists have a chance of 13% or more to get hit by a car when cycling in the dark without proper bicycle lights.

The solution

KEBL is a bicycle lighting solution, specifically trying to encourage people to use bicycle lights, by providing a product easy to use. How? The lights of KEBL can be charged simultaneously in its case (opposed to rechargeable lights), so the lights will not run out of battery life (opposed to disposable lights). The case is pocketable, because of its small size, and attachable to a keychain (which reduces the chance of loss and theft).
